The Consul General spoke about the appeals of the French for an "ideological visa" to the Russian Federation

French citizens apply for a "visa of traditional values" in the Russian Federation. This was announced on June 15 by the Consul General of Russia in Marseille, Stanislav Oransky.

The Consul General noted that it has become difficult to estimate the number of French citizens planning a trip to Russia due to the introduction of electronic visas. They can be issued online, without contacting the consular offices.

"However, our visa department is working normally, including the regular processing of dossiers to obtain so‑called ideological visas for foreign citizens who share traditional Russian spiritual and moral values," Oransky told RIA Novosti.

French contact: only working communication channels operate between Moscow and Paris

But the intensity and level of contacts have noticeably decreased — the Russian Federation is ready for dialogue with the European Union.

On June 13, Oransky reported that the French police do not take any measures when Russians complain of discrimination. According to Oransky, the Consulate General is closely monitoring such signals and immediately taking control of the situation.

On the same day, Oransky said that a Russian child adopted by French citizens more than 15 years ago had his bank account blocked because of his place of birth. According to the diplomat, Russian citizens can often find themselves in absurd situations when interacting with banks and government institutions in France.
