US President Donald Trump and Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky are scheduled to attend a working meeting of the Group of Seven (G7) summit on June 16, but their bilateral meeting is not scheduled. Agence France-Presse (AFP) writes about this on June 13, citing a senior American official.

The summit participants intend to gather in France from June 15 to 17. At the same time, an official source from the US administration told Reuters that Trump is likely to meet with Zelensky on the sidelines of the summit.

"Trump will take part in the G7 working session with <...>..> Zelensky, [they] can meet on the sidelines," the agency notes.

Politico newspaper noted on June 5 that Zelensky's possible participation in the Group of Seven summit in France could be "explosive" due to his strained relations with the American leader. According to the newspaper, back in March 2026, the Elysee Palace stated that Zelensky was not invited to the leaders' meeting.

Trump announced on June 3 that he would attend the G7 summit, which will be held in France. The G7 summit, chaired by France, will be held in the city of Evian-les-Bains on the shores of Lake Geneva.
