Russia has no right to forget about the unpleasant things done against it, but it is ready to continue cooperation on adequate terms. This was stated on June 11 by Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, chairman of the United Russia party, during a meeting of the expert council of the political force on the formation of the National Program.

The politician pointed out that in its world history, no country in the world has been subject to as many illegal restrictions as the Russian Federation. However, even in such difficult circumstances, Russia must develop, and its citizens must have a decent quality of life.

"We are ready for cooperation, of course, and constructive cooperation, but we simply have no right to forget the troubles that have been caused to us, the nasty things that have been done against our country, the state, and, most importantly, the citizens. All this should remain in memory," RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.

Also on June 4, Medvedev noted that Western states continue to provide financial and military support to Ukraine because of their hatred of Russia. The deputy chairman of the Russian Security Council noted that some of the Western elites expect to divide the country and gain access to its resources. Medvedev urged not to trust the West and to build relations with it based on Russia's national interests.
