UAZ spoke about the deepening of robotics in the assembly of the car interior
New technological operations using robotic manipulators are being worked out at the automation center of the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant. This was stated by Ilnur Sahabiev, CEO of the automobile plant, according to the factory Telegram channel on June 10, which published a video from the new UAZ training and engineering center.
The footage shows the process of installing the front panel in cars. According to Sahabiev, this is a new technological operation that will be implemented later in the assembly of UAZ and Sollers vehicles.
According to the company, the robot arm shown is the main tool for experimentation and process development: real scenarios are modeled on it, algorithms are refined and various ideas are tested.
At the center, engineers write a program from scratch and design it to make production faster, more accurate, and more flexible. Specialists are engaged in software development, virtual modeling and implementation of complex automated solutions, the company added.
Earlier, on June 8, it was reported that the Sollers Group launched mass production at an industrial site in Ulyanovsk of passive safety system components — steering wheels, airbags and system control units. They will be used to equip Sollers and UAZ cars.
