Milk production has halved in the Murmansk region

In the Murmansk region, 2 thousand tons of milk were produced in the first quarter of 2026. This is 51.7% less than in the same period of 2025.

Milk yields per cow in large and medium-sized organizations amounted to 1,030 kg. According to Murmanskstat, the indicator decreased by 61.3%.

Pig slaughter decreased by 33.2%. The number of pigs decreased by 84% to 200 heads. The Bi-port news agency writes about this.

As of the end of March, the number of cattle in the region was 3.7 thousand, including 1.9 thousand cows. The number of birds decreased by 10.2% and amounted to 1.2 thousand birds.

In the Lipetsk region, the production of livestock and poultry for slaughter increased by 7.8%. The number of cattle has decreased.
