Air defense systems intercepted 95 Ukrainian UAVs over Russian territory overnight

The Air Defense Forces eliminated 95 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) overnight The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) over the territory of Russia. This was announced on June 7 by the Russian Defense Ministry.

"During the night, 95 Ukrainian aircraft—type unmanned aerial vehicles were intercepted and destroyed by air defense systems on duty from 20:00 to 07:00," the Maks messenger said.

It is specified that the drones were intercepted over the territories of the Belgorod, Bryansk, Kaluga, Kursk, Novgorod and Rostov regions.

Drones were also intercepted over the Smolensk, Tula, Yaroslavl regions, Krasnodar Territory, Moscow Region, Crimea and the Black Sea.

The new drones will help the units to defeat unmanned boats, sabotage groups and other threats on the approaches to the bases.

On June 6, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that air defense systems destroyed 339 drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in 13 hours. It was clarified that the drones were intercepted over the Belgorod, Bryansk, Kaluga, Kursk, Leningrad and Novgorod regions.
