JSC GENBANK and the Government of the DPR have signed a strategic partnership agreement

JSC GENBANK and the Government of the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) have signed a strategic partnership agreement within the framework of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF). The document is aimed at developing the financial infrastructure of the region and supporting the local economy.

"We will work together to increase the availability of financial services. Residents of the Republic and local businesses should be able to use the full range of comprehensive banking services. This applies to convenient payment instruments and the introduction of advanced digital technologies," Denis Pushilin, the Head of the DPR, said during the signing.

Pushilin stressed that the key point is to stimulate the economy through lending. The Bank expressed its intention to develop effective lending programs for DPR enterprises.

"This is extremely important for launching new investment projects, supporting small and medium—sized businesses and, of course, for solving social problems, including the housing issue," he added.

Elena Cheskidova, Chairman of the Management Board of GENBANK JSC, noted that the plans include expanding the network of branches based on successful work experience in Crimea, launching joint business support programs, introducing proven practices of quality service and implementing government programs.

"I am sure that our partnership will bring real benefits to the residents of the DPR, help businesses grow and create new opportunities for the region's economy. Expert RA's data shows a gradual slowdown in the economy in most regions.

The Zaporizhia region will become a donor region for the Russian budget, Governor Yevgeny Balitsky said on June 4 in the Izvestia studio as part of the SPIEF. Balitsky said that the region has significant potential for budget and economic revenue growth. According to him, after the resumption of the Zaporizhia NPP, more than 11.5 thousand people will be officially employed and pay personal income tax.
