- Kostroma region and RSO will develop the movement of student construction teams
Sergey Sitnikov and the leaders of the movement signed a cooperation agreement today at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
Sergey Sitnikov, Governor of the Kostroma Region, met with Yaroslav Zubashchenko, Head of the central headquarters of the NGO RSO, and Yulia Drozhzhina, Chairman of the Board of the youth all-Russian public organization Russian Student Groups, at the SPIEF today.
Sergey Sitnikov noted at the meeting that during his student years, he worked among the soldiers of the student squad on the construction of a narrow-gauge railway in the Antropovsky district of the Kostroma region. Therefore, he knows that the student body is not only a job, but also a joint life 24 hours a day. According to the head of the region, many managers gained their first experience in team management in student groups.
Every year, more than 100 student labor groups are formed in the region. On the initiative of Sergey Sitnikov, a law on the support of student groups was developed and adopted, which outlines the main types and measures of support aimed at developing the youth labor movement and encouraging its participants through competitive events. In particular, the possibility of vocational training in working specialties is provided. Meals for students working at socially significant construction sites in the region are organized at the expense of the regional budget.
Following the results of the labor season, the best student groups will receive the governor's rolling banner as a sign of recognition of the youth's contribution to the socio-economic development of the region.
The agreement provides for joint work on the creation of new student groups at universities and colleges, as well as the dissemination of the practice of the youth labor movement among schoolchildren. Special attention was paid to the ideological component in the development of student groups. The head of the region has already given specific instructions following the meeting.
"The guys are very active, very charged, caring, who really want to develop it. The support of the region from the governor, Sergey Konstantinovich Sitnikov, is also felt seriously. We have agreed on many issues today, including the possibility of allocating a meeting place for the children, involving school teams in cooperation, and much more. The movement will continue to develop," said Yulia Drozhzhina, Chairman of the Board of the youth all—Russian public organization Russian Student Groups.
