- The expert named the reason for the death of Dyatlov's group against the background of a new case
Researcher, author of the book "The Mystery of the death of Dyatlov's group" Evgeny Buyanov named the cause of the death of Dyatlov's group against the background of attempts by relatives of the dead tourists to initiate the resumption of criminal proceedings on the deaths of nine people.
In conversation with aif.ru On Wednesday, June 3, he explained what could have happened in the Northern Urals in the vicinity of Mount Otorten in 1959. The researcher stated that there is no place for conspiracy theories in the story of Dyatlov Pass: most of the riddles have long been rationalized. In his opinion, natural factors caused the death of tourists.
"The tent was located in an area of moderate avalanche danger. They clipped the snow plank, which was kept there on its word of honor. At some point, she couldn't stand it, and the piece slid off, crushing them. These are typical avalanche injuries — compression compression, fractures without traces of external damage," explained Buyanov.
According to him, the band members probably underestimated the danger of small snow slides on slopes with a slope of more than 20 degrees.
He also stated that the so-called "fireballs" described by the search engines were associated with rocket launches from Baikonur. According to him, the time of observations coincides with the launches almost minute by minute, and the events themselves took place far from the scene of the tragedy and after the death of tourists.
The researcher explained the traces of radiation on the clothes of the victims as the consequences of nuclear tests on Novaya Zemlya. He said that radioisotope analysis indicates the presence of cerium-144 associated with thermonuclear weapon tests, and does not confirm other popular versions of the origin of radiation.
Relatives of the members of Dyatlov's group are seeking to initiate a new criminal case. As lawyer Evgeny Chernousov clarified on June 2, the investigation materials lack chemical and histological examinations, which are usually attached to autopsy reports. He believes that this may indicate that such studies have not been conducted. According to the lawyer, their results could help confirm or refute the existing versions of the death of tourists.
The lawyer noted that only investigators can initiate the exhumation of the remains of the band members for new examinations, organize interrogations and investigative experiments, as well as verify all versions of what happened. 360.ru . In addition, according to him, law enforcement agencies have the necessary powers to obtain information from military departments and special services. Chernousov, in an interview with RT, stated that in the USSR the case was opened with many violations.
On the same day, the president of the Russian Bar Association, Doctor of Law Igor Trunov, in an interview with NSN, said that the resumption of the investigation into the deaths of tourists from the Dyatlov group is possible only if new facts and evidence are discovered, and this is practically impossible. According to him, there is no evidence that it was a murder, so the official version is the snowfall.
On the night of February 2, 1959, one of the most mysterious tragedies in the history of the country occurred on the slope of Mount Kholatchakhl in the Northern Urals. Nine members of a group led by Igor Dyatlov, a student at the Ural Polytechnic Institute, died during a hiking trip. Yuri Krivonishchenko, Yuri Doroshenko, Rustem Slobodin, Zinaida Kolmogorova, Lyudmila Dubinina, Alexander Kolevatov, Nikolai Thibault-Brignol and Semyon Zolotarev were with him on the expedition. kp.ru . The bodies of the tourists were found at a distance of up to one and a half kilometers from the tent. According to the investigation materials, some of the participants died of hypothermia, and three more were seriously injured. Life.ru .
In February 2019, the Prosecutor General's Office announced an investigation into the Dyatlov group case. On July 11, 2020, she announced that Dyatlov's group had died due to an avalanche, IA Regnum notes.
