The biologist named the timing of birch flowering in the capital region
Birch blossoming in the capital region may last until the second half of June. Candidate of Biological Sciences Pavel Glazkov announced this on Tuesday, June 2.
"Now there is a massive flowering. <...> Birch blooms depending on spring: it begins in April and can last until the second half of June," he told the Moscow city news agency.
The biologist noted that birch pollen has a high allergenicity and allergy to it is considered a "specific disease for Russia."
"Scientists have developed a diagnosis: you can take a blood test for specific immunoglobulins to birch allergens. If a person suffers from allergies in the spring, you can take this specific test, and you will be told that you are allergic to birch pollen...> If there is a reaction to birch pollen, you can already take action," Glazkov concluded.
Allergist-immunologist Anna Usacheva warned in an interview with RT on May 22 that with the onset of summer, patients with seasonal allergies hope for relief after the end of birch dusting. However, in the central part of Russia, with the onset of June, grasses begin to play the main role of allergens. Among them are timofeevka, fescue, bluegrass, hedgehog and other meadow cereals. 360.ru .
Nutritionist Natalia Pavlyuk warned on May 14 about the consequences of excessive consumption of strawberries. According to her, people with allergies, individual intolerance or cross-allergic reactions should be more careful with berries.
