Mushroom expert Dmitry Tikhomirov said that champignons, honey mushrooms and porcini mushrooms began to be harvested in the Moscow region and other regions.

In conversation with aif.ru On Monday, June 1, the expert said that champignons are already being found near Domodedovo, and wild mushrooms, according to him, are more fragrant than store-bought ones, and they are difficult to confuse with poisonous ones. Also, as the expert noted, porcini mushrooms began to appear, including reticulated ones, and the first chanterelles also appeared.

He added that mushroom pickers also collect gray-yellow tinder, which grows on oak trees and is known as "chicken" for its taste qualities, specifying that it is better to take young mushrooms — they are softer and tastier, writes Life.ru .

According to Tikhomirov, the active growth of mushrooms is facilitated by weather changes — a combination of cold weather and rains. He explained that such conditions stimulate fruiting, and after the recent cold snap and precipitation, there may be even more mushrooms, Moscow 24 notes.

Maria Kombarova, a leading engineer at the Department of Environmental Protection at Perm Polytechnic University, noted on May 30 that when picking mushrooms, it is important to take into account not only their edibility, but also the current legal restrictions. Thus, it is forbidden to collect mushrooms included in the Red Book in forests, writes RT. In particular, these are the white redhead, curly sparassis, umbrella tinder and spherical sarcosoma. Fines for collecting some of these mushrooms can reach 5,000 rubles.

Before that, in May, Anton Palyulin, a lecturer at Synergy University, reminded that it is important to take into account regional Red Books: for example, cloudberries, lingonberries and blueberries are protected in the Novosibirsk region, notes 360.ru .

Lawyer Dmitry Grigoriev, in a conversation with Izvestia on May 1, warned about the responsibility for collecting the red book matsutake mushroom. For collecting it, you can face four years in prison.

In April, the Moscow City News Agency reported that the first spring mushrooms, stitches and morels, had been discovered in the Losiny Ostrov National Park. These fungi are among the first to react to the warming of the soil and serve as an important link in the ecosystem.

Nutritionist Elena Solomatina previously warned that mushrooms are one of the main sources of botulism risk. According to her, poisoning can be manifested by impaired vision and speech, and botulinum toxin is dangerous and can lead to death. Pravda.Ru .
