Putin ordered to check the validity of fines for officials in the regions.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has instructed to analyze the practice of bringing local government officials to administrative responsibility for non-fulfillment of powers for which funds have not been allocated. The corresponding order was published on the Kremlin's website on June 1.

The Russian President instructed the Government of the Russian Federation, together with the Prosecutor General's Office and federal executive authorities, to study cases of punishment of heads of municipalities and local administrations for improper performance of duties if budget allocations for these purposes were not allocated or their volume was insufficient.
