The Austrian cosmonaut spoke about the role of humor on the Mir space station

On May 31, Austrian cosmonaut Franz Fibeck said that the crew's sense of humor helped them maintain a good atmosphere at the Mir station.

"Our crew has developed a very close friendship. We had fun, and a sense of humor was a very important part of the atmosphere in the group," the source told RIA Novosti.

Fibek visited the Soviet Mir space station in 1991. During the mission, Soviet cosmonauts Alexander Volkov and Toktar Aubakirov worked with him as part of the crew.

According to Fibek, the crew did not encounter any serious difficulties during the flight, and its members constantly supported each other, which contributed to effective work.

The Austrian cosmonaut spent about eight days in orbit, engaged in scientific research in the fields of space medicine, physics and technology. This flight was the first and so far the only space trip of an Austrian citizen.
