International competitions have ended in Tula. From May 24 to May 26, the owners of the track, the Marathon Tula cycling team, which performed in full, won 28 awards: 10 gold, 13 silver and 5 bronze. These starts traditionally opened a series of the largest track races in the country.

On the very first day, the team's riders outlined serious ambitions — four gold, six silver and three bronze medals. There were also good results in subsequent races: a full set of medals was taken in the women's points race and the elimination race, and the sprint disciplines brought several more awards to the team's piggy bank.

Most of the Marathon Tula riders managed to distinguish themselves. Maria Averina won gold in the points race, Miroslav Suyatin scored the winning double in the scratch and points race, Alina Lysenko became the first in the sprint, Artyom Zybin was unstoppable in the sprint sports: gold in the sprint and keirin. Alexander Yurchenko and Alyona Mishina set the winning point in Madison, and Yurchenko also became the best in scratch.

Maria Averina shared her emotions after a busy day of racing.:

"Everything is fine: I feel good, I am happy with myself, well done in the organization, we did everything we could, we promptly resolved issues. We were very pleased with the prizes, this has not happened for a long time, thanks to the sponsors for such gifts!"

Artem Zybin, who won gold twice at the home Grand Prix, also appreciated the performance.:

"Regarding the Grand Prix, I can say that there is still something to work on, but I am satisfied with my performances over the three days. The heaviest medal of all came on the first day, the team sprint. Unfortunately, it was not possible to get to the first place, but the track record among juniors was set. Then we will go to St. Petersburg, and then the main start of the season is the Russian Junior Championship, where I plan to perform no worse than at the Tula Grand Prix."

The next start, the St. Petersburg Grand Prix, will be held from 3 to 8 June.
