The Executive Committee of the International University Sports Federation (FISU) has allowed Russian athletes to participate in competitions under the auspices of the organization. This was reported on May 26 on the FISU website.

"The complete exclusion of Russian athletes on the basis of nationality is considered disproportionate and incompatible with the educational mission of FISU," the statement said.
