The US Navy has resumed escorting ships through the Strait of Hormuz. This was reported on May 26 by The Wall Street Journal (WSJ), citing the US military.

"The authorities reported <...> that a Greek supertanker with 2 million barrels of oil passed through this waterway off the coast of Oman under the guidance of the US Navy," the publication says.

Bloomberg also reported on May 24 that a supertanker carrying about 2 million barrels of Iraqi oil to China passed through the American naval blockade and entered the Arabian Sea.

According to him, the draft of a possible memorandum between Iran and the United States does not contain provisions on the inspection or control of Iranian vessels by the American side after the lifting of restrictions.
