Russian Finance Minister Anton Siluanov supported the initiative to allow motorcyclists to ride in designated lanes for public transport. This was announced on May 25 by Alexander Yunashev, a Kremlin pool journalist, on the Telegram channel.

"As a biker, of course I'm in favor. As a minister, we need to think about security and work out this issue," Nikitin said.

According to him, the initiative will be discussed together with the issues of regulating the movement of electric bicycles and road safety.

At the same time, Siluanov pointed out the need to take into account the opinion of public transport drivers and work out a balanced solution.

As noted by "Gazeta.Ru", a fine of up to 3,000 rubles threatens motorcyclists for engine noise at night if it exceeds the established norms. Lawyer Valentina Bachurina warned that bikers can be held accountable for loud engine noise in the city. A motorcyclist will be fined 500 rubles during the day for operating vehicles exceeding noise standards.

On May 22, the Ministry of Transport took an active part in the preparation of an action plan for the implementation of the Road Safety Strategy approved by the President of the Russian Federation until 2030 and for the future until 2036. Thus, it is planned to build city bypasses to relieve them of transit traffic and optimize logistics routes.
