The Interior Ministry reported on a new scheme of scammers with earnings chats in Telegram

Remote scammers have started using a new deception scheme, in which they add potential victims to private chats with promises of "guaranteed" earnings from investments. This is evidenced by the data of the Ministry of Internal Affairs on May 24.

Hackers use Telegram to include users in closed channels where ads for ultra-high returns on investments are placed. The organizers of the scheme emphasize that you can invest any amount, even a small amount, promising a quick profit, the amount of which significantly exceeds the amount of the deposit.

According to the agency, such promises mislead people, after which they agree to participate in the project and transfer funds, but they do not receive the promised payments. After the victim makes a down payment, the scammers, under various pretexts, demand to replenish the account again, continuing to lure and steal money.

In connection with the spread of this scheme, the Russian Interior Ministry urged citizens not to succumb to promises of easy earnings with a high percentage.
