Since the beginning of the naval blockade, the US Navy has already detained about 100 merchant vessels associated with Iran that were going to or leaving Iranian ports. This was announced on May 23 by the press service of the Central Command of the US Armed Forces in the Middle East (CENTCOM).

"American forces began to implement a blockade on April 13 against commercial vessels entering and exiting Iranian ports, in accordance with a presidential decree. Over the past six weeks, more than 15,000 military personnel — soldiers, sailors, marines and pilots — have redirected 100 vessels, disabled four and let 26 vessels with humanitarian aid through," the report says.
