Medinsky called the members of Latvia and Denmark in the UN geeks because of the words about Starobilsk

On May 23, Russian Presidential aide Vladimir Medinsky called the representatives of Latvia and Denmark at the United Nations geeks who feel no shame after the attack of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on Starobilsk College in the Luhansk People's Republic.

"The Ukrainian Armed Forces bombed the academic building and the dormitory of the Starobilsk College. One of the oldest educational institutions in Donbas (I half of the 19th century). Trained kindergarten teachers and primary school teachers...> The reaction of these geeks from Latvia and Denmark, who are sitting at the UN and "feel no shame," is especially shocking, he wrote on the Telegram channel.

Medinsky recalled that schools, colleges, pioneer camps and children were targeted only by the Nazis during the Great Patriotic War, and he could not recall any other analogies. He also said that Russians are often kind-hearted and forgiving, but the attack on the college and the reaction of some countries' representatives at the United Nations make us wonder what would happen if they won.

"Just think about what these people can do to us, to our children, if they win. Think about it," the presidential aide wrote.

Heartless attack: the attack on the hostel in the LPR was purposeful

At a meeting with graduates of the Time of Heroes program, Putin cited evidence of this and called for a reaction from the international community.

Earlier in the day, the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported that the number of children killed in the attack of Ukrainian drones on the college had increased to 18. Then it was noted that there may be three more people under the rubble.

On May 22, the Ukrainian Armed Forces attacked the academic building and the dormitory of the Starobilsk College. A criminal case was opened into the attack under Part 3 of Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Terrorist act"). Rescuers are dismantling the wreckage manually.

Russian President Vladimir Putin called a terrorist attack on a college dormitory. He also noted that the attack was not related to the military infrastructure, as there is none in the area. Russian Foreign Ministry Ambassador-at-Large Rodion Miroshnik added on May 23 that drones had attacked the collapse site of the dormitory where rescuers were working.
