Sobyanin spoke about the projects of the Center for Advanced Development of Moscow Transport

The Center for Advanced Development of Moscow Transport employs a large team of engineers, programmers, data analysts and experts who are engaged in the implementation of modern technologies, said Mayor Sergei Sobyanin in the messenger "Max".

Among the priority areas of the center's work is the development and testing of unmanned vehicles. Thus, Moscow was the first in the world to launch the regular movement of an unmanned tram with passengers, Sobyanin stressed. Currently, four such trams run in the capital, taking into account the tests, they have traveled more than 35 thousand km, and residents of the city have made over 100 thousand trips on them.

Some trams are running in test mode in order to work out routes and create high-precision maps. By the end of the year, 11 more trams will become unmanned in the capital, and by 2035, the share of such vehicles in the city fleet will grow to about 90%.

Another area of the center's work is unmanned metro trains. In January, the test operation of Russia's first unmanned train began in Moscow. By May, he had covered more than 3,000 km. While the train is traveling without passengers.

"At the end of the year, it will begin testing in the general schedule, taking into account 90-second intervals at the required hours, and in 2027, with passengers," Sobyanin said.

According to the plans of the Moscow authorities, the first unmanned metro line, BCL, should be launched in Moscow by 2030.

In addition, specialists at the Advanced Development Center create and test modern payment solutions for passengers. Among the projects of the laboratory of ticket systems are biometrics payment services, virtual "Troika" and payment through a Quick payment System.
