The operating nurse told about the blood supply for the victims in Starobilsk

Hospitals in the Luhansk People's Republic (LPR) have enough blood supplies for victims of the attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on the college and dormitory building in Starobilsk. Senior operating nurse Lyudmila Ganziy told Izvestia about this on May 22.

"I want to express my gratitude to all the nearest districts: Belokurakino, Novopskov, Belovodsk, Markovka. Troitsk also got a call and said they would come to donate blood. I want to express my gratitude to all the caring people," she shared.

She noted that a lot of people and other medical institutions responded to help with blood transfusion to the victims. However, no blood collection was carried out today, as there are supplies.

There may be up to 18 victims under the rubble of the destroyed building.

On May 22, the Ukrainian Armed Forces attacked the academic building and the dormitory of the Starobilsk College. At the time of the impact, 86 children aged 14 to 18 were there. As a result of the incident, six people were killed and 39 injured. In addition, 13 people are missing.

A criminal case was opened into the Ukrainian attack on the college facilities in accordance with Part 3 of Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Terrorist act"). As a result of the incident, the five-storey dormitory building collapsed all the way to the second floor.

Later, Russian President Vladimir Putin called the attack on the college dormitory a terrorist attack. He also noted that the attack was not related to military infrastructure, as there is none in the area.
