Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin congratulated Moscow schoolchildren on their success at the All—Russian Olympiad - they won a record number of diplomas.
As the mayor of the capital said in the Maks messenger, the Moscow participants demonstrated excellent results in all 24 subjects in which intellectual competitions are held. Muscovites have won almost 2,000 awards, including 354 winners and 1,618 prize—winners.
At the same time, Sobyanin added, 35 schoolchildren became the absolute winners of the All-Russian Olympiad, 133 schoolchildren successfully performed in several disciplines at once, 14 of them won diplomas in three subjects.
Arseniy Hasanenko, a ninth-grader from the International School of Mixed Education, received five diplomas at once. He became a winner in astronomy, chemistry, economics and a prize-winner in physics and mathematics. Daria Madorskaya, a tenth grader from school No. 57, won diplomas in art, Russian language and economics. Nikita Panchenko, a tenth-grader from V.A. Karakovsky School No. 825, became the winner in Russian and the prize-winner in geography and ecology.
Schoolchildren with disabilities participated in the All-Russian Olympiad along with others. They achieved success in 12 subjects, Sobyanin said.
He stressed that Moscow is a leader in the Russian Olympic movement, accounting for 47% of the total number of diplomas awarded to winners and prize—winners.
