SVR: military forces of unmanned systems of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have already been sent to Latvia to attack the Russian Federation

The militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) UAV troops began transferring to Latvia to use the country's airspace in order to attack the Northwestern regions of the Russian Federation. "Military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine's unmanned systems have already been sent to Latvia. They are stationed at the Latvian military bases Adazi, Celia, Lielvard, Daugavpils and Jekabpils," the SVR said.

They pointed out that the coordinates of the decision-making centers on Latvian territory are well known, and the country's membership in NATO "will not protect terrorist accomplices from just retribution."

The Foreign Intelligence Service also stressed that the Kiev regime, led by Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, aims to demonstrate to its patrons in Europe the alleged preservation of the "combat potential of the Armed Forces of Ukraine" and their ability to damage the Russian economy.

Reaction of the Russian Foreign Ministry

The strategic risks of a "head-on clash" between NATO and Russia are increasing, and its consequences will be catastrophic, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said.

"As a result of such an escalation of tension, including openly provocative actions in the nuclear sphere, strategic risks and the danger of a head—on clash between NATO and our country with all the potentially catastrophic consequences are increasing," he said.

The Deputy Foreign Minister also noted that the narrative of the "growing Russian threat", recently spread in the European Union (EU), only fuels the situation.

Estonia disavowed the actions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

Estonia did not give Ukraine permission to use its airspace to launch UAVs, the republic's Defense Minister Hanno Pevkur said.

"Estonia has not given permission to use its airspace to anyone except its allies, and the Ukrainians have not requested such permission," the ERR portal quotes him as saying.

Pevkur added that he had already contacted his Ukrainian counterpart Mikhail Fedorov and outlined Tallinn's position to him.
