Five Russian fighters liberated the village of Privolye in the DPR
Only five Russian soldiers from the reconnaissance and assault brigade "Wolves" were enough to liberate the village of Privolye in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR). The fighters told how it turned out in an interview with Izvestia.
Military personnel undergo training before each combat mission. This time, the fighters had to liberate the village of Privolye. They were helped with this by experienced instructors, with whom all the key points of the assault were worked out.
"The scouts reported that there are enemy fortified positions there. We went as a five —first two came in, then three. At first, they gained a foothold in the outermost houses, then they slowly began to clear the houses," the deputy platoon commander with the call sign Tuman told Izvestia correspondent Egor Kildibekov.
The military had to change positions because both artillery and drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were working on them, leveling or burning houses. But despite all the efforts of the Ukrainian nationalists, five Russian fighters managed to liberate the settlement.
"Within two or three weeks, we took this settlement <... We were met by artillery and small aircraft, but the enemy just ran," said Tuman.
He stressed that everything was done strictly according to the instructions of the commanders, no messing around. However, there is nothing to worry about, the officers take care of each fighter as well as themselves.
On January 17, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that Russian military personnel had liberated the settlements of Privolye in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) and Priluki in the Zaporizhia region. It was clarified that during the liberation of Priluki, units of the Vostok group of forces advanced into the depths of the enemy's defenses and liberated the settlement.
