An explosion followed by a fire at a gas station in Pyatigorsk occurred while unloading a gas carrier. This was announced on May 16 by the mayor Dmitry Voroshilov.

"When unloading the gas carrier, an explosion occurred, followed by a fire. All forces and means went to eliminate the emergency situation. I am also at the scene of an emergency," he wrote in the "Max".

It is clarified that the explosion is not related to the attack of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). Presumably, the reason was a violation of safety regulations.
