The current American administration is behind the Ukrainian anti-corruption authorities, which are now putting pressure on the head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky, and his entourage. This was stated by political analyst Alexander Semchenko in an interview with Izvestia.

"The NABU and SAP anti-corruption agencies are a branch of the FBI, that is, the US Department of Justice, which reports to [US President Donald] Trump. Thus, now we see another attempt by the American president to put pressure on Kiev in order to redistribute resources, taking them from Ukraine and redirecting them to the Middle and Far East," the source said.

At the same time, Washington has a more serious lever of pressure on Zelensky — the seizure of his assets, the expert added. But this is an extreme method, because after using it, Americans will no longer have any methods of influence.

On May 14, a Ukrainian court arrested the former head of the office of the President of Ukraine, Andriy Ermak, for two months. He is accused of participating in a criminal group that laundered money for the construction of luxury real estate near Kiev. The losses are estimated at 460 million hryvnias ($10.4 million).

The former president of the country, Petro Poroshenko, said last night that the consequences of another corruption scandal threaten the whole of Ukraine. He believes that the revealed schemes undermine the "defense capabilities", as well as damage Kiev's international reputation.
