An earthquake of magnitude 4.2 occurred in the Novosibirsk region
An earthquake of magnitude 4.2 occurred in the south of the Novosibirsk Region, the Altai-Sayan branch of the Unified Geophysical Service of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS) reported on May 14.
The tremors were recorded on the evening of May 13, the epicenter of the seismic event was located just 3.3 km from the village of Kalinovka in the Iskitimsky district.
The first tremor occurred at 23:10 local time (19:10 Moscow time). The intensity of the tremors in the epicenter itself showed 5.2 points on the MSK-64 scale.
An earthquake of magnitude 4.4 occurred near the coast of the Northern Kuril Islands on May 6. Its epicenter was located in the Pacific Ocean, 185 km south of the city of Severo-Kurilsk, on Paramushir Island, the center lay at a depth of 23 km.
