Starmer intends to remain in power in Britain for another 10 years

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer has said he intends to lead the country for a decade, despite growing calls for his resignation and the failure of his Labour Party in local elections.

In an interview with The Observer, the British prime minister, who came to power in 2024, described his government as a "10-year renovation project." When asked if he would lead his party in the next general election in 2029 and if he was ready to serve a full second term, he replied unequivocally "yes."

As noted by a number of Western media, the prospect of Starmer's re-election for a second term seems increasingly vague. Journalists emphasize that the parliament is considering the possibility of his removal after the defeats of the Labor Party in the local elections.
