Putin announced the growth of trade between Russia and Uzbekistan in recent years
Russian President Vladimir Putin, at a meeting with Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev on May 8, positively characterized the countries' relations in recent years.
"The relations between our countries have been developing in the best possible way in recent years, including, probably, thanks to your personal efforts," the Russian leader said.
Putin noted that trade between Russia and Uzbekistan is growing and trade and economic ties are developing. According to him, the countries are also implementing major joint projects.
In addition, the Russian leader stressed that such meetings on the eve of important holidays are an indicator of "special relations" and "fraternal cooperation."
