Fire safety control has been strengthened in the green areas of Moscow
Moscow has increased control over fire safety in green areas due to the onset of a fire-prone period. This was announced on Thursday, May 7, by the Deputy Mayor of the capital for Housing and Communal Services and landscaping, Peter Biryukov.
According to him, firefighters and rescuers are conducting enhanced patrols to identify cases of burning garbage, fallen grass and the use of open fires or barbecues in the wrong places, writes "Moscow 24".
Biryukov noted that the TINAO has already implemented a set of preventive measures to prevent wildfires, clarifies 360.ru . In particular, specialists have equipped fire-fighting and mineralized strips, carried out plowing near populated areas, prepared water intake sites for aviation and strengthened control over the maintenance of territories.
In addition, special attention is being paid to preventive work with residents and visitors of green areas: conversations are held with them and memos on fire safety are distributed, the Moscow City News agency reports.
