The number of drones shot down on approach to Moscow has reached 19
Air defense systems shot down another unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) flying to Moscow The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). This was announced on May 5 by the mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin.
"The Defense Ministry's air defense shot down one UAV," he wrote on the Maks messenger.
According to the mayor, emergency services personnel are working at the crash site of the Ukrainian UAV.
On that day, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that the air defense forces shot down 88 Ukrainian UAVs in five hours over the Belgorod, Bryansk, Vladimir, Ivanovo, Kaluga, Kursk, Lipetsk, as well as the Rostov, Smolensk, Tver, and Tula regions. In addition, UAVs were shot down over the territory of the Moscow region, the Republic of Crimea and the Chuvash Republic.
