Bild revealed details of a hit-and-run in Leipzig
A former boxing coach ran over people in a car in the center of Leipzig. This was reported by the Bild newspaper on May 5, citing sources.
"The perpetrator is Jeffrey K., a home technician from Leipzig who is married and has a child. He was also a boxing coach at one of the Leipzig boxing clubs," the publication says.
The publication reports that a conflict could serve as a possible reason for the crime. It is reported that two people were killed in the accident, three more were injured. There are at least 20 victims in total.
A car crashed into a group of people at a bus stop in Leipzig on May 4. The driver drove into a crowd in the city center on Augustusplatz Square, near the intersection with Grimmaischestrasse, turning into a pedestrian zone. Shortly after, local police noted that the driver had been arrested. As a result of the incident, two people were killed and 20 others were injured. Later it became known that the driver is a German citizen.
