Tom Kopke, a 23-year-old blogger from Germany, known under the pseudonym Tooleko, broke the world record by collecting a Rubik's cube in 23.3 seconds during a parachute jump that he made over the South African Mossel Bay.

"I solved the Rubik's Cube for the first time at the age of 18 and practiced a lot then. I even made a video trying to perform some crazy Rubik's cube tests, where I also said that one day I would solve it by skydiving," the UPI news agency quoted Kopke as saying.

The record holder clarified that he had always dreamed of learning how to skydive, and now, after what he had achieved, he had new ideas for creating "crazy videos" on this topic. He added that he started the trip, during which he showed an unsurpassed result, with great motivation.

The German citizen noted that the jump had been postponed several times before, as he did not have a license to perform such a maneuver. While training to get it, he analyzed and practiced dangerous tricks, among other things.

According to UPI, the blogger managed to surpass the figure shown in 2023 by Australian Sam Siracchi (28.25 seconds).

The newspaper Le Monde reported on April 26 that French climbers Mateo Jacmoud and Samuel Equi broke the world record for climbing Mont Blanc, conquering it two minutes earlier than their predecessors — in 4 hours 41 minutes 24 seconds. At the same time, it took them about 3 hours and 41 minutes to climb. Under normal conditions, people usually cover the same distance in two days.
