The creation of infrastructure facilities for the northern import makes it possible to reduce the cost of goods in the Far East and the Arctic. This was announced on April 29 by the head of the Ministry of Regional Development, Alexei Chekunkov, at a meeting of the Council for the Development of the Far East, the Arctic and the Antarctic at the Federation Council.

"Therefore, the creation of the infrastructure provided for by law, the very backbone infrastructure of the northern import, allows you to influence prices," TASS quoted Chekunkov as saying.

He added that together with the business, it is necessary to take the next step and proactively improve the products of sensitive categories that people see, feel and interact with on a daily basis, including by building new logistics chains.

On the same day, Chekunkov said that the loan amount under the Far Eastern and Arctic Mortgage program was planned to be increased by 20%. According to the Minister, negotiations are underway with the Ministry of Finance. It is specified that so far the maximum loan amount under the program is 9 million rubles.
