The Voyah brand, which is part of the Dongfeng concern, presented at the Beijing Auto Show a new modification of the Taishan electrified crossover under the X8 index. The novelty differs from the three-row Voyah Taishan, which was previously announced for the Russian market, with a five-seat cabin layout focused on the comfort of second-row passengers. On April 24, a correspondent of Izvestia reported from China.

Compared to the Voyah Taishan, which was shown in Russia, the X8 version has not one, but two screens installed on the front panel. These are 15.6-inch displays with a 2K resolution and the latest version of Huawei's operating system. In the second row there are seats with the "zero gravity" function, which maintain a maximum backrest angle of 145°, move back and forth in the range of 200 mm and are equipped with a 32-point massage. A 21.4-inch ceiling screen and a 13-liter two-door refrigerator are provided for rear passengers.

The Voyah Taishan X8 also has a fully automatic function to transform the rear seats into a sleeping place at the touch of a button. In 60 seconds, the second row seats fold into a flat floor, and the mattress automatically inflates to form a flat bed 2.1 meters long.

The hybrid version of the X8 crossover has an all-wheel drive system with two electric motors with a total power of 496 or 517 hp, as well as fully electric versions with a 496-horsepower installation and a battery with a capacity of up to 120 kWh, allowing you to drive about 700 km without recharging. Pre-sales of the model have already begun in China, its price ranges from 303 thousand to 390 thousand yuan (3.3-4.3 million rubles in translation).

Earlier in the day, it was reported that at the auto show in China, Hongqi presented its first SUV, which may appear in Russia in the future. In addition, the Xpeng brand showed the GX full-size crossover, which resembles the British Range Rover SUV; BMW presented the updated 7-series sedan, and Nio demonstrated the ES9 crossover, which may become the largest representative of the SUV segment in the Chinese market.
