The Kremlin welcomed Japarov's visit to Moscow on May 9.
Moscow will be glad to see Kyrgyz President Sadik Japarov at the Victory Day celebration, if he can come. This was announced on April 23 by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.
"If he considers it necessary and possible, of course, Moscow will be glad to see him," Peskov said in a commentary on Channel One.
On April 23, during talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Japarov said that Russia and Kyrgyzstan have been and remain allies and strategic partners. The Kyrgyz leader noted that the current negotiations provide a good opportunity to discuss topical issues on the bilateral agenda.
