- Peskov called Finland's plans to allow the import of nuclear weapons into the country a confrontation.
The intention of the Finnish authorities to allow the import of nuclear weapons into the country is a "concentrated confrontation." This was announced on April 23 by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.
"This is a confrontation, that's the way to understand it. Moreover, the confrontation is in such a concentrated expression," Peskov stressed in a comment to Channel One.
The Finnish Ministry of Defense announced earlier in the day that the Finnish government had submitted to parliament a proposal to allow the import and storage of nuclear weapons for the country's defense. At the same time, the acquisition, production, development and research of nuclear weapons in the country will still be prohibited. It is noted that this decision is aimed at ensuring defense within the framework of cooperation with NATO.
