Rural residents should not be cut off from the possibilities of technological progress. This was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin during a meeting with members of the Russian government on April 23.

"People in rural areas should not be cut off from the possibilities of technological progress, on the contrary, they should have more such new opportunities for a comfortable life, work, education, advanced medicine or medical care for self—realization," the president said.
