The court returned the lands of the Arkhyz resort to the ownership of the state
The Armavir City Court returned land plots and real estate objects in the village of Arkhyz of the Karachay-Cherkess Republic to the ownership of the state. This was announced on April 20 by the united press service of the courts of the Krasnodar Territory.
"It has been established that the former head of the Arkhyz rural settlement and his deputy violated anti-corruption legislation by illegally disposing of state land... The market value of the land fund located in the foothills of the Greater Caucasus Mountain Range is 1.1 billion rubles. These lands belong exclusively to federal ownership and are not subject to privatization," the message on the MAX messenger says.
It is clarified that the former officials, through forgery of documents, transferred the disputed lands to the ownership of the municipality, after which they illegally registered the plots to their friends and relatives. At the moment, the plots consist of 25 land plots, on which hotel buildings and several non-capital buildings have been erected.
"The court pointed out that the defendants' construction of real estate on disputed land plots became possible only as a result of the illegal actions of former officials, and therefore they are inseparable from corrupt assets and are subject to state revenue," the press service noted.
25 land plots, eight hotels, three residential buildings, 67 non-residential buildings, as well as six non-capital buildings and two unfinished construction sites were converted into state ownership.
On April 10, the united press service of the courts of the Krasnodar Territory reported that the court in Krasnodar satisfied the demands of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation and converted the assets of former deputies of the Legislative assembly of the Kuban and related persons who conducted joint illegal activities with the former vice-governor of the Krasnodar Territory Andrei Korobka into state income. The total value of the confiscated assets resulting from corrupt practices amounted to 81.5 billion rubles.
