The expert named the categories of citizens without a planned pension increase

Starting from May 1, citizens who are entitled to an insurance pension, as well as retired representatives of law enforcement agencies and recipients of social pensions only will not receive an increase in their pension. This was announced on April 18 by Lyudmila Ivanova-Shvets, Associate Professor of the Basic Department of the Russian Federation Chamber of Commerce and Industry "Human Resource Management" at Plekhanov Russian University of Economics.

"Starting from January 1, everyone who is entitled to insurance pensions has already received an increase in their pension, and starting from April 1, those who receive a social pension. Pensions will be indexed for military retirees starting from October 1. So as of May, there are no increases for these categories," the expert explained in an interview with RIA Novosti.

Ivanova-Shvets added that social pensions were indexed by 6.8 percentage points, while insurance pensions were indexed by 7.6 percentage points.

Ekaterina Stenyakina, a member of the State Duma Committee on Labor, Social Policy and Veterans' Affairs, said on April 9 that certain categories of Russian citizens have the right to receive an insurance pension and a state disability pension at the same time. According to the MP, widows of deceased servicemen who have not remarried, disabled children and parents of deceased military personnel are also eligible for double payments.
