Sergunina spoke about the popularity of Moscow for traveling with children

Last year, children from different regions of Russia visited Moscow about 8.5 million times for tourist and sightseeing purposes. Compared to 2024, this figure has increased by 8%, Deputy Mayor Natalia Sergunina said.

"Together with their families, children attend Moscow cultural festivals, parks, museums and theaters, and as part of school excursions they get acquainted with the history of the capital and participate in career guidance programs," Natalia Sergunina noted.

Travel offers for children and their parents are collected on a special page of the Ruspass service. Users can access the show schedule, sightseeing tours on topics of literature, sports and architecture, as well as recommendations for visiting parks.

The interactive project "Play Moscow" introduces children to the history of the city. Participants are invited to complete tasks and complete one of ten thematic routes with visits to VDNKh, the Moscow Zoo and Zaryadye Park.

Since 2020, the educational and tourist project "City of Discoveries" has been implemented in the capital. As part of the excursions and master classes, the children will be presented promising professions in nine areas - from digital technologies and creative industries to biotechnology, medicine, transport and space. The program covers more than 100 sites, including Gorky Film Studio, Ostankino TV Tower, technoparks and offices of large companies.

Another initiative involves visiting universities in the capital, where students learn about their specializations. Among the partners are Lomonosov Moscow State University, Bauman Moscow State Technical University, Moscow Polytechnic University and others.

The exhibition spaces also retain high interest from the young audience. In 2025, children and teenagers from Moscow and the regions visited the capital's museums about 2.5 million times, which is 8% more than a year earlier. Among the most sought—after are the State Darwin Museum, the Museum of Cosmonautics, and the Tsaritsyno and Kolomenskoye nature reserves.
