In Ireland, the carcass of a Greenland polar shark, estimated to be about 150 years old, washed ashore. This was reported on April 14 by the magazine Need To Know.

This is one of the rare species of sharks. The length of the male shark was 2.87 m.

"Experts believe that the male shark was close to puberty when it washed ashore," the publication says.

It is noted that the carcass was transferred to the Museum of Natural History for further study and research.

Scientists from the Canadian Museum of Nature on March 25 found a new species of extinct rhinoceros, named Epiatheracerium itjilik. The skeleton is 75% preserved, which is rare for paleontological finds of this age.
