Due to the increase in juvenile delinquency, the Prosecutor General's Office of Russia has organized a safety check for children in educational institutions. This was announced on April 15 by Prosecutor General Alexander Gutsan.

"Due to the significant increase in juvenile delinquency — and in the past it increased by 10% — an inspection of the safety of children's stay in educational institutions, the quality of work of those responsible for education and the identification of risk factors has been organized," he said at a plenary meeting in the Federation Council.

According to Gutsan, teachers may not be familiar with modern subcultures, which makes it difficult to recognize children's involvement in destructive activities. During the security check, prosecutors found 15,000 violations, including the facts of the illegal transfer of sports infrastructure for shopping and entertainment purposes.

Artem Metelev, chairman of the Duma Committee on youth policy from the United Russia party, announced on April 10 that a bill was planned to be submitted to the State Duma (State Duma) to limit the dissemination of information about attacks in schools. The MP also pointed out that the causes of tragedies in educational institutions are often harassment and influence via the Internet, including involvement and incitement from outside.
