The "Perfect" and "Sharp" corvettes repelled drone attacks during the exercises
A detachment of ships of the Pacific Fleet (Pacific Fleet) consisting of the Perfectny and Sharp corvettes carried out a comprehensive exercise in the South China Sea with artillery firing and the use of Ka-27 deck helicopters. This was reported on April 14 in the press service of the Pacific Fleet.
The sailors on the corvettes practiced conducting naval combat against a simulated enemy. With the help of A-190 artillery launchers, they hit a simulated target indicating an enemy ship.
During the simulated battle, crews of anti—aircraft artillery and heavy machine guns repelled a raid by robotic means - unmanned boats and unmanned aerial vehicles.
At the next stage, crews of Ka-27 helicopters based on corvettes made reconnaissance sorties over the sea, using equipment to search for underwater targets. Having worked out joint maneuvering with the detection of the enemy's submarine, the ship's crews of the corvette "Sharp" conditionally used anti-submarine weapons against the underwater target.
At the end of the event, a training session was held to combat the survivability of ships.
The exercises in the Asia-Pacific region (APR) were held as part of the long-range campaign plan.
The press service of the Pacific Fleet reported on March 25 that a detachment of Pacific Fleet ships consisting of the corvettes "Perfect" and "Sharp" arrived at the port of Chittagong in the People's Republic of Bangladesh with a business call.
