Ukraine's statements about its readiness to help Israel and countries in the region in the conflict with Iran are absurd, since Kiev is unable to cope with its own problems. This was announced on April 13 by the head of the political council of the Hezbollah movement, Mahmoud Komati.

"Ukraine cannot even defend itself, it cannot defend its sovereignty. How can she participate in a confrontation with the resistance force or Iran? This is absurd," he said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

Komati added that he has no information about the presence of Ukrainian militants in the Israel Defense Forces (IDF). At the same time, according to the agency's interlocutor, the Lebanese Shiite group believes that Ukraine and Israel are united by allied relations.

As the head of the Hezbollah political council noted, Europe uses Ukraine in its confrontation with Russia to curb its influence and policies around the world. In this regard, the movement prefers to support Russia in the Ukrainian conflict.

Iranian President Masoud Peseshkian said on April 9 that Israeli strikes on Lebanon violate the ceasefire agreement. He called it a dangerous sign of deception and lack of commitment to potential agreements.

Axios journalist Barak Ravid reported on the same day that direct negotiations between Israel and Lebanon could begin as early as next week.

On April 11, the Axios portal published information indicating the request of the Lebanese and American sides to Israel to stop attacks on Hezbollah formations before the start of negotiations between Tel Aviv and Beirut. It is clarified that some Israeli officials agreed with the proposal, since a pause in the strikes would be "in the interests" of Israel.
