Several facilities of the Saudi Arabian fuel and energy complex were damaged due to attacks, resulting in a fuel leak and loss of production capacity. This was reported on April 9 by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), referring to data from the Ministry of Energy.

It is noted that one of the strikes hit pumping stations of the vital East–West pipeline, which allows oil to be exported without using the blocked Strait of Hormuz.

"There was a loss of approximately 700,000 barrels per day of the volume pumped through the pipeline, which is the main supply route to world markets during this period," the publication says.

The oil refinery in Manifa was also attacked, and its production capacity was reduced by about 300,000 barrels per day due to the strikes. In addition, the Hurais plant was previously targeted, which reduced its production capacity by 300,000 barrels per day. In general, the kingdom's production capacity after damage to facilities amounted to about 600 thousand barrels per day, the agency said.

On April 8, the Financial Times (FT) newspaper reported an attack on the East–West oil pipeline in Saudi Arabia, which runs through the entire Arabian Peninsula, which was hit by a drone. According to the newspaper, the strike was carried out on one of the pumping stations on Wednesday afternoon, a few hours after the announcement of a cease-fire between the United States and Iran.

On the same day, the Iranian Press TV channel reported that the US and Israeli militaries violated the truce by attacking an oil refinery in southern Iran.
