A new anti-plague station will appear in Ussuriysk
A modern anti-plague station will be built in Ussuriysk. A seven-storey administrative and laboratory complex will be built on the site of the existing facility on Dzerzhinsky Street.
The completion of the large-scale reconstruction of the Primorsky anti-plague station is scheduled for 2028. The cost of the work is more than 1.7 billion rubles. The funds will be allocated from the federal budget. Rospotrebnadzor has already announced a competition for the construction of a complex of buildings. The relevant documents are posted on the public procurement website.
According to the project, an ensemble of specialized structures will appear in this area on an area of 1,9 thousand square meters. The administrative and laboratory building will become the dominant of the complex. A garage box for special equipment, a warehouse and a checkpoint will be built next to it.
The UssurMedia news agency writes that the Primorsky anti-plague station is an object of strategic importance. It was created in 1940 on the basis of the anti-plague point of the city of Voroshilov. The station was responsible for the anti-plague stations of Primorye, the anti-plague department of Nakhodka, the Vladivostok laboratory and the anti-plague train.
The specialized service was created due to the difficult epidemiological situation of those years. The plague came to the region in the early 1920s from China. Currently, the station's area of responsibility includes not only Primorye, but also Kamchatka. The station is being actively upgraded and equipped with the most modern laboratory equipment.
Earlier it was reported that in Primorsky Krai in 2026, about 33.2 billion rubles will be allocated for the development of the transport complex. The relevant information is reflected in the explanatory note to the draft law "On the regional budget for 2026 and the planning period of 2027-2028."
