Approximately 13 brands, some of which have already completely shut down their stores, may leave the Russian market in 2026. This was announced on March 27 by the CMWP consulting company.
"Among the brands that are in the process of closing the store chain, as of the end of March this year, are the Russian fashion brands Mollis, Urban Vibes, YOLLO, as well as one German Bugatti. Among the brands of children's products, the Russian Orby is in the process of closing, and Pelican is going online, currently there is only one outlet of the brand. Earlier it was reported that the Russian fashion brands Modis, Zenden and Kovik are also going to leave the Russian market," TASS reports.
The monitoring took into account the brands represented in the segment of consumer goods. At the same time, specialized product categories sold exclusively through specialized outlets, such as automobiles and medical devices, as well as catering establishments, were excluded from the analysis.
It is noted that a number of Russian brands, including Desport, Motherbear, Domotekhnika and Cats & Dogs, are reducing the number of stores as part of network optimization. Earlier, it was also reported about a decrease in the number of points of sale at Gloria Jeans.
According to experts, the Cosareve and Pink Punk brands have suspended operations and may either resume operations or leave the market, while M'Studio and Face Code closed all stores in 2026.
On March 25, RBC reported that the Russian retailer Gloria Jeans intends to close about 150 of its stores in various regions of the country during 2026. The company plans to abandon outlets that demonstrate the lowest efficiency in terms of profitability. One of the sources admits that the optimization may affect up to 200 stores.
