In Barnaul, an 11-year-old boy died from an electric shock while walking. A friend who tried to help a friend suffered burns, the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Altai Territory reported on March 22.
As investigators have established, minor children climbed onto the roof of garages on Shukshina Street.
"At some point, an 11-year-old boy slipped and grabbed onto a bare wire connected to electricity from the balcony of an apartment building to the garage. The child lost consciousness from the electric shock," the department's Telegram channel says.
Paramedics who responded to the call were unable to resuscitate the child, and the boy died on the spot from his injuries. His friend, who suffered burns while trying to help, was taken to the hospital. The circumstances of the emergency are being established, and the Prosecutor's office of the Altai Territory has taken control of the investigation into the death of the child.
A criminal case has been opened under Part 1 of Article 109 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Causing death by negligence").
On March 20, a family with two children was poisoned in the Mamontovka neighborhood of the Moscow suburb of Pushkino due to faulty ventilation. According to a source of Izvestia, two adults and two children born in 2010 and 2019, who were in a private house, were injured.
